Passionate storyteller, expert in local history, food and legends

Favorite site in Uzbekistan

Muhammadrizo's favorite site is the House Museum of Fayzulla Khodjaev in Bukhara, as he had my first guiding experience there. He says that it is truly one of a kind and offers a glimpse into how people lived in the past. Divided into men’s and women’s courtyards, it is a perfect embodiment of traditional Bukhara architectural style.

Why guide?

He has always been curious about new experiences, unknown places, delicious food, and mysterious legends — all of which fueled my passion to pursue this career. After majoring in hotel management, he found it a bit monotonous to stay in a hotel, stuck behind a screen, while my true self longed to explore hidden gems and share them with others. Above all, his friends encouraged him to become a tour guide, saying he was a natural storyteller. In the end, he decided to enroll in a guiding course, completed it with flying colors, and has now been working in this field for three years.

Random Facts

He like drawing, listening to music, trying new food and spending long hours in the nature.

Just wanted to say thanks for an amazing trip! Every detail was thought through — from the airport pickups to the packed lunches on long drive days. The hotels you chose for us were great.

The trip was intense but balanced, and I loved the mix of cultural immersion and nature.

As we are physically fit, the trip perfectly matched our age.

Looking forward to joining one of your Caucasus tours next year :)

Kind regards,
Susan Oliver

Hi Hayku, we are back home in Canada now. What a wonderful trip we had! The 5 Stans were amazing. The food was delicious, and the people were so hospitable.

We did face a small issue during our stay in Turkmenistan where our planned visit to a particular site was unexpectedly closed for maintenance. However, our tour manager, Hayku, quickly rearranged our schedule to include an alternative site, ensuring we still got to experience the best of Turkmenistan. This adjustment meant that our trip remained smooth and enjoyable without missing out on any key experiences. Please send our warmest greetings to Nazima, our guide in Tajikistan. She was excellent, sharing so much about the local culture. Thank you, Arara Travel, for such an unforgettable experience.

Our trip to Armenia, Georgia, and Uzbekistan was fantastic. Our guides were especially great; the itinerary was well organized. The only thing was that all the cuisines had lot an of dishes that had meat in them, and even though I am not technically vegetarian, I prefer not to eat meat. I told this to our tour manager and he was able to organize my lunches and dinners accordingly for the rest of the tour.
