Favorite site in Armenia

Vardan believes that Khor Virap Monastery is one of the must-visit sights in Armenia. First of all, it has historical importance and its location with the best view of Mount Ararat is absolutely awe-inspiring.

Why guide?

For Vardan it is a great opportunity to communicate with different people and solve non-standard problems that happen along the way. The communication with each tourist helps him to learn traditions and customs of other nations.

Hi Florena,

We thoroughly enjoyed the 21 days traveling with you. The program was varied and interesting, and the guides — Ilham in Azerbaijan, Sopi in Georgia, and Tatev in Armenia — each had their own style, which made the experience richer. We did have a small change in the itinerary due to weather in the mountains, but your team quickly arranged an alternative visit that turned out to be just as enjoyable. Everything felt very well cared for. Thank you again!

Hi Sati

Overall, we have thoroughly enjoyed the whole tour, and can only offer a few suggestions which you may like to consider. Probably overall, too many monasteries!

Azerbaijan. Guide Rugiya was fantastic . Liked the itinerary there very much. Hotel in Gabala very basic, empty pool but understand there is probably not a lot of options there.

Georgia.

We found the crossing of the border in to Georgia was fine because we only had smaller carry on suitcases. The ramps on each of the steps are not wide enough to easily roll a larger suitcase.

Telavi - Holiday Inn there had insufficient towels for the number of guests staying. On both nights, we had no towels for a shower before bed . They were delivered to the room at 11pm after we were asleep. -Enjoyed the times that we stopped unplanned on the roadside to see e.g. bread making.

Armenia.

Vardan was exceptional. Took us to a number of places that were not on the itinerary, which we enjoyed very much and maybe could be included and leave off a monastery or two.

Cave houses outside of Goris - Khndzoresk Caves

Line of Stones - Carahunge monument

Columnar basalt gorge below Garni Temple- very impressive.

Thanks again Sati, for arranging our great holiday. You we very easy to deal with in the planning and kept in touch while we were enroute.

Regards,

Good morning Florena,

We just wanted to say thank you for the incredible journey through the 5 Stans and the Caucasus. It truly was the trip of a lifetime for us we never thought would be that memorable.

Every country brought something unique — and the local guides really made the experience. In Uzbekistan, Dilshod was a walking encyclopedia — so knowledgeable and full of humor. In Kyrgyzstan, Maria was absolutely lovely and made sure we felt at home everywhere. And when we got to Georgia, Ia brought so much energy and passion that we felt like we were traveling with a friend. Vardan in Armenia was also terrific, very knowledgeable and accommodating to our certain needs.

There was one small mix-up with our luggage not arriving in Tashkent on time, but your team followed up immediately, and the hotel staff had it delivered by the next morning — it was handled really professionally.

We are so glad we chose your company, thank you again! Looking forward to our next trip with you, guys.

All our best,
Barbara and Michael Fordham
