Avan Dzoraget Hotel is situated 160 km north from Yerevan. The main building was built in 2004. The hotel is designed to evoke the historical romance and excitement associated with the medieval Armenian castle. Its exterior is made of basalt stone and Armenian culture permeates the hotel.
The hotel is located in an amazingly beautiful place at Debed River nestled among the forest-covered hills and rocky slope of mountains. The historical sites abound in the vicinity, including the incredibly beautiful Haghpat (a UNESCO heritage site) and Sanahin monasteries.
The restaurant is interwoven with a bar and lounge. Here guests can choose to dine in the opulent interior or on a large themed terrace overlooking the Debed River. The restaurant offers exceptional Armenian and Georgian dishes made from fresh local ingredients and regional recipes
