Individual trekking tour

Guide: Ashot was our guide during the entire tour. He told us about Armenia and Armenian people with heart and humor. We felt very well cared for.
Driver: Ashot was also our driver. His driving style was safe and confident, especially considering that not all the road in Armenia are easy for driving. During our trekking tours Vahe accompanied us as a jeep driver. He did a great job.
Car: The car and the jeep were technically in order and well maintained.
Hotels: The hotels were all well selected and the food was always delicious.
What did you like best? The journey was very varied and informative. It was an individual tour for 2 persons. All our wishes were taken into acount. The mountains of Armenia and the hospitality of the people impressed us a lot.
What were you not satisfied with? There were no problems or reasons for complaints.
Would you recommend us? Yes, sure. Everything was perfect. Many thanks

Arara Tours created a terrific itinerary, Armenia & Georgia Classical Tour, that introduced me to the highlights of Armenia and Georgia over an 8-day span. In Armenia, over five days, besides a comprehensive Yerevan city tour, my guide took me to Zvartnot Temple ruins, Echmiadzin, Khor Virap Monastery, Norvank Monastery, Garni Temple, Geghard Monastery, Lake Sevan, Dilijian, Akhtala Fort, and Haghpat Monastery. The Georgia portion of my tour included three days of sightseeing. Highlights were the Tbilisi Old Town Tour, Jvari Temple, Mtskheta, Ananuri Fortress, Gudauri Ski Resort, Gergeti Trinity Church with views of Mount Kazbek, the wine-producing region of Kakheti with a wine tasting in the quaint town of Signaghi, and David-Gareja semi-desert area and monastery complex. Guide services of both my Armenia guide, Arthur, and my Georgia guide, Georgi, were knowledgeable, entertaining. informative, flexible, and comprehensive. Hotels were modern, clean, and centrally located in the capital cities of Yerevan and Tbilisi.

My nephew, Daniel, my friend, Diane, and I took an amazing archaeological tour of Armenia this Sept 2016. Arara's Liana Levonyan arranged this most perfect private tour for us, providing our multi-talented guide, Armine and dear driver, Andrinak.
Armine is a working archaeologist and college professor (not to mention a singer/songwriter) who personally worked on most of the sites we visited. She explained in meaningful detail what we were seeing and her professional theories - connecting the importance of ancient Armenia to the development of our western world. Andrinak, a former engineer, was so professional; knowing shortcuts, more "comfortable" routes, provided help for us over rocks and up steep hills, and ensured the car was clean and comfortable. These two quickly became our teachers, treasured friends and family to us.
We saw sites and evidence of huge, walled prehistoric cities, many Iron Age civilizations, artifacts in national and local museums, burial sites of beloved warriors and kings, rock pictographs, 11th and 12th century monasteries and early Armenian churches. We spoke with archaeologists who were currently working on the sites and even jumped down into graves and pits for closer, first-hand looks! Truly a once in a lifetime experience for us!
Hotels and staff were great and food was delicious and abundant. We left our trip in love with this beautiful, historic land and its people.
